Bosanski is a language-learning app made by 312 IT Consulting, based in the United States. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles and what we do with it. The short version: we keep what's needed to teach you Bosnian and save your progress, we never store your voice recordings, and we never sell your data.
You can try Bosanski anonymously; the app creates a random ID on your device so your progress can be saved. When you create an account we additionally store:
To make the app work we store your lesson progress, review (spaced-repetition) schedule, streaks, XP and level, placement result, daily goal, and settings. This is the data that lets you pick up where you left off on any device.
We never store your voice recordings. When you do a speaking exercise or talk to Nana in Razgovor, your audio is sent to our speech-recognition service, processed in memory to produce a transcript and a pronunciation score, and immediately discarded. We keep the score and, for conversation, the text transcript. The audio itself is not saved anywhere, not by us and not as training data.
Nana's conversations and answer scoring are powered by AI. To generate her replies and grade open answers, the text of your conversation or answer is sent to our AI providers and processed to provide the feature. Our providers are:
We do not use your conversations or recordings to train AI models.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe (on the web) or Apple (in the iOS app). Your card number goes directly to them; we never see or store it. We keep only your subscription status (which plan, active until when) so the app knows what to unlock.
We collect first-party usage events (for example, "a lesson was completed" or "the pricing page was viewed") on our own infrastructure, tied to your user ID, so we can fix problems and improve the app. There are no third-party advertising trackers in Bosanski, we show no ads, and we never sell your data to anyone.
If you join a Family plan, the plan owner can see the display name you chose and that you hold a seat on their plan. They cannot see your lesson answers, conversations, or email address.
You can delete your account at any time, in the app, from Profile, using "Delete account". Deletion takes effect immediately and removes your account, progress, streaks, and subscription records from our systems. If you own a Family plan you'll be asked to dissolve it first so your members aren't stranded.
One exception, for fraud prevention only: we keep a one-way, irreversible hash of your email address (never the email itself) so the free trial can't be farmed by repeatedly deleting and recreating accounts. It can't be reversed to your email or used to identify you.
Bosanski is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
